ATTENTION GIBSON CITY RESIDENTS:
We want to inform residents that some areas have recently experienced brown or discolored water due to unauthorized use of fire hydrants by contractors pulling bulk water without City approval.
This activity has disturbed the water system, and we are actively working to address the issue and prevent it from happening again.
If you have noticed any suspicious activity around any hydrants in town, please contact City Hall right away at 217-784-5872.
For those experiencing discolored water, run your cold water until it clears.
