Water and Sewer:

The ONLY utility provided by the City of Gibson. Call City Hall at 217-784-5872 to establish an account upon move-in.  Our current billing cycles are every 2 months, with the option to recieve your bills in the mail, or via email. For your convenience, multiple ways to pay your bills are available: Payments can mailed to PO Box 545 Gibson City, made in person at the City Hall payment window(101 E. 8th Street) during working hours of M-F, 8AM-4PM, residents may utiliize our 24hr dropboxes at the front of City Hall or at the front door of the Police Station, and payments may be made online via our payment portal listed at our city website gibsoncityillinois.com. An autopay option is also available after you establish an account within the portal. If any assistance is needed in establishing your account, signing up for an account or other payment questions, please call City Hall at 217-784-5872.

Garbage: Residents are responsible for their own trash services. There are mulitple options in Gibson City, with the ultimate decision being your own preference:

Anyone who is changing the size of an existing building or addition to a property ( which includes fences, pools, garages, etc.) If you are questioning whether or not you will need one for current additions, it’s always better to fill one out. Use the Link below to print out a permit form:

Once completing the form, please turn it in at City Hall or mail it to the City at PO Box 545 or 101 E. 8th Street , Gibson City, IL. 60936 .

For Residential Permits the Cost is– $50.00 for the 1st $1,000.00 of your project, and $1.00 for every thousand after that.

For Commercial Permits the Cost is–$100.00 for the 1st $1,000.00 of your project and $1.00 for every thousand after that.
