Attention Residents: 2025 LEAF PICK-UP:
The Crew responsible for City-Wide Leaf Pick-up will begin collecting up as many leaves as they can in a single pass and will work efficiently to include everyone in one pass starting November 17, 2025.
APPROXIMATE START DATE: Monday, November 17, 2025
PLEASE REFER TO THE GENERAL GUIDELINES BELOW:
1. Only leaves will be accepted for removal.
2. If leaf piles are contaminated with any material other than leaves, it will be passed over and left to homeowner/resident for removal. * IF LEAF PILES ARE BLOCKED BY PARKED CARS/VEHICLES/ECT, PILES WILL BE PASSED UP AND LEFT TO THE HOMEOWNERS RESPONSIBILTY.
3. LEAVES MUST BE IN PILES. Piles are to be in a straight line as close to the curb as possible, without being in the street.
4. Leaf piles in ditches will not be removed as this causes a safety issue.
5. Do not pile leaves over rocky areas or allow rocks to infiltrate the leaf piles. (The leaf vac machine creates a lot of force from a large impeller causing rocks and landscape material to become high speed projectile.)
6. Material from the homeowners/resident’s property (i.e. trimmings from shrubs and waste from flower gardens) dead rodents or pet waste should not be put in leaf piles.
7. Please do not bag leaves, BAGS WILL BE LEFT BEHIND.
Operating and maintaining the leaf vac equipment, coupled with labor costs, is expensive. Please help and do your part to keep expenses down and safety a top priority.
Any updates regarding the Leaf-Pick-Up process will be shared on our Facebook when necessary: https://www.facebook.com/cityofgibson
Thank you for your cooperation!
