First and foremost we would like to thank you for helping us during the “1000 year” flood we had in Gibson City in August of this year. The response was totally amazing and there is no way we can truly express our heartfelt gratitude. The outcome would have been much worse without the assistance of each and everyone of you.
With that in mind, our community would like to invite you to our “Hero Salute” event on Saturday, December 11th at 2:00 PM so our community can thank you for all that you did to help us during the event and the recovery process thereafter.
This is part of our “Christmas Salute” event taking place on Friday, December 10th and Saturday, December 11th. Citizens are encouraged to line Sangamon Ave. downtown before 2:00 PM and show appreciation to all the First Responders who helped us in our time of need.
