“The Big Little City”: Gibson City Highlights

Gibson City is home to a well-rounded community that boasts many recreational resources and relaxing small-town experiences; there truly is something for everyone!

Jordan Pond + Community Dog Park

Those who enjoy the outdoors can venture to Jordan Pond (located West of Gibson City, off Hwy 9 on 300 East Rd) to take in a bit of scenery while enjoying time near the water.

Numerous events held throughout the year, including an Annual Kids Fishing Derby
Walking path available with botanical spotlights for native plants
Pavilion and seating reservations available for gatherings
Newly established community Dog Park directly next to Pond, with fenced in area

Campground + Community Parks

Gibson City has a number of parks providing public areas for those who enjoy the outdoors, with reservations available from small to large gatherings!

North Park has a large pavilion great for outdoor concerts and home to many community events all summer long
South Park provides a relaxing campground with electric and water hookups, and dumps station available on a first-come first-serve basis. Limited amenities available during winter months.
West Park has numerous Ballpark fields available for public use during the summer months
All parks have public WIFI for convenience!
