ATTENTION ALL RESIDENTS:
Another phase of the ‘Chip-and-Seal’ Roadway Project continues in Gibson! We would like to inform the public about this vast project to prepare and plan ahead to help with the successful nature of this project. We will need cooperation from residents with the guidelines listed below:
AREA AFFECTED -Church Street from Rt. 9 to 8th Street, Lott Blvd. from Rt. 9 to 8th Street, Wood Street south of Rt. 9, and 10th Street from Melvin to Lawrence. (Please see higlighted roads in image attached).
The ‘Chip-and Seal’ process is a large project that has the purpose of repairing and prolonging the longevity of City Roads. This will take place:
BEGINS ON TUESDAY, JUNE 23, 2025 6AM-5PM,
ENDS ON WEDNESDAY AFTER 5PM
During these processes, ALL VEHICLES WILL NEED TO BE REMOVED FROM MENTIONED STREETS OR WILL BE TOWED. We recommend that residents park vehicles as far off the street as possible.
We HIGHLY recommend all residents close their windows during the project to avoid dust entering their homes.
During the period of time when the work is being performed on each street, that street will be completely closed to traffic.
Please keep in mind that plans may be subject to change, but the City of Gibson will do our best to keep all residents informed.
Please share, thank you for your cooperation!
