Petitions are available for circulation starting August 20, 2024.
Seats that will be up for election are as follows:
Mayor – Daniel Dickey – 22-72 SIGNATURES NEEDED
City Clerk – Jan Hall – 22-72 SIGNATURES NEEDED
Treasurer – Vickie Lorenzen – 22-72 SIGNATURES NEEDED
Ward 1 – 4-year term. Current Alderman – Susie Tongate – 5-55 SIGNATURES NEEDED
Ward 2 – 4-year term. Current Alderman – Randy Wyant – 12-62 SIGNATURES NEEDED
Ward 3 – 4-year term. Current Alderman — Doug Parsons – 4-54 SIGNATURES NEEDED
Ward 4 – 4- year term – Current Alderman – Laura Miller – 2-52 SIGNATURES NEEDED
Ward boundaries are:
Ward 1 – West side of Church Street from the north side of 9th Street
Ward 2 – East side of Church Street from the north side of 9th Street
Ward 3 – East side of Church Street from the South side of 9th Street
Ward 4 – West side of Church Street from the South side of 9th Street
Rasmussen Addition is not within city limits, so those residents may not run for elected office nor sign petitions. Packets are available to download from the Illinois’ State Board of elections or Ford County Clerk website: https://www.elections.il.gov
