Applicants must have a valid driver’s license, high school diploma or equivalent, and must be 21 yrs. of age by the date of hire. Please email Carla McGrew at cmcgrew@gcpd.net or stop at the department directly to request an application.
Completed applications need to be dropped off or emailed to arosendahl@gcpd.net, no later than July 5, 2024.
** Note: Some convictions, misdemeanors or serious traffic offenses may disqualify applicants from consideration.
**Duties:**
– Conduct patrols to maintain public safety
– Respond to emergency calls and incidents
– Investigate crimes, gather evidence, and interview witnesses
– Enforce traffic laws and issue citations when necessary
– Provide assistance and support to victims of crimes
– Prepare detailed reports on incidents and events”
